Islam is one of the most beautiful religion in the world and also a religion the misinterpretation of which has facilitated the birth and growth of the anti-thesis to religion. Ever since the crusades, Islam has been a constant target of the west and the west has left almost no stone unturned in defaming the religion. The crusade is still on but the means of fighting it has changed drastically. The Islamists are fighting it with guns and missiles while the west is using the extremely lethal ‘propaganda’. This time the west seems to be winning and the reward of their victory is not Jerusalem but the oil rich lands of the Middle East. Imagine an unconventional marathon race and some of the best runners running to win it. These athletes have been running these races over their lifetime & have also won many a time. They are well aware of the rules of sport, the logistics involved, the kind of track they would be running upon and probably the right way to win the race. This race is unconventional in the manner in which the winner would be decided. Instead of all four running together, each racer would be running separately and the winner would be the one who takes the least amount of time to cover the distance. There is another provision whereby two or more runners can run in pairs. Each can run a portion of the race himself and the remaining someone else can run for him without any sort of penalty. March 15 is annually celebrated as the World Consumer Rights day (WCRD). It is one and the only day in the calendar when the world (governing) community tries to show to the proletariats around the globe that despite their inherent and never ending romance with the capitalist, they are always dedicated to creating a better, transparent and accountable world for the proletariats, who in the end would constitute the labour force, the market and the consumers for the capitalists.  Thus the precedence is given to citizens over capitalists only to serve the interests of the capitalists. Post demonetization there has been a great upsurge in the number of people who try to justify tax evasion and even advocate for the abolition of the same. I however, have a view which is different from the stated mainstream and would like to defend taxation of income by the state. I would also like to point out as to why the idea of ‘Abolishing income tax’ is a flawed one and also morally incorrect. In order to understand the argument better we need to answer two very basic questions related to taxation. These are 1. Who are taxed? & 2. What is done of the money collected through taxation? The primary idea behind taxation is ‘Taking from the rich and giving it to the poor’. The income tax is levied on that section of the society which is able to earn a decent living for themselves primarily by utilising the resources available to them, which also includes the poor and the not so rich section of the society. Indians today are acting and behaving like a bunch of uneducated fickle minded people vulnerable to exploitation at the hands of resourceful and opportunist politicians. We have become a large bunch of stupid selfish hypocrites who despite being highly educated are communally divided and very sadly, the cost of this hypocrisy is borne by the nation we all claim to love. This isn’t just an allegation on the Indians but a well proven fact and very sadly I wish to confess that I do not want to be a part of such a lot. Our country is a unique union of diversity and naturally, it has never been as divided as it today seems to be.
